This week I’m going back in the time machine to pull out my review of Rachel Caine’s The Morganville Vampires series. But please don't hesitate to pay ten dollars for it. I will treasure the times i had reading about these amazing characters and it pains me so much to see it end. It is such an amazing story and by far my favorite series. Everything Caine does in this series can be justified. And what makes the story even better is that its filled with endings that will leave you satisfied. It is not the central focus but whenever Caine decides to put in a loving moment between claire and shane your heart sort of just melts. You quickly fall in love with the friendship that eve, Michael, claire, and shane have. You go through the same conflicts the characters do. It feels so real when i read it and you really grow connected.
Morganville is like my home away from home. The story itself has so many dynamics but it never differs from its main plot which i love. I immediately feel in love with the writing (i have never read a teen book and trust me i have read a lot that had such natural and realistic writing) i really felt that i was truly apart of the story i could see everything so clearly i felt as if i was watching a movie. I feel so privileged to have stumbled across the first book about four years ago in Barnes and Nobles when they re promoted the series into one book split into two. Includes a teaser from Prince of Shadows: A Novel of Romeo and Juliet! Now, Claire, Shane and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end… And while it sounds like salvation-even for the vampires themselves-the truth is far more sinister and deadly.
It seems that an organization called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they’ve never had: hope of a vampire-free future. The town looks cleaner and happier than they’ve ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated-vampires from humans-they realize that the changes definitely aren’t for the better. Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. But the Morganville they return to isn’t the one they know it’s become a different place-a deadly one… While Morganville, Texas, is often a troubled town, Claire Danvers and her friends are looking forward to coming home.
